Terms and Conditions
This agreement is between Super Entertainment, INC., parent company of Great Rate DJs and the person/entity completing this form. Upon availability, Great Rate DJs will use the services of the person, group and/or DJ completing this form (referred to as "sub-contractor" hereafter) for various entrainment events to represent Great Rate DJ's, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Sub-contractor will provide the following:
1. All required sound equipment.
2. All required lighting equipment (when needed).
3. Liability Insurance (If you do not have any, you personally assume 100% responsibility)
4. Transportation for the delivery, set up and tear down of the equipment.
5. Valid drivers' license.
6. Vehicle Insurance.
7. Required music for each event.
8. Event planning with every client before each show when required.
9. Working cell phone.
10. References and pictures upon clients request.
On occasion, sub-contractor may be asked to meet with potential clients on their own free time as some clients like to shop around and meet with potential DJs before making a decision or signing any agreements. This is not required of the sub-contractor but doing this has shown to increase the amount of work generated. Sub-contractor would be responsible to contact the prospect within 24 hours of acceptance to set up and agreeable time and location to meet. If no such arrangements can be met sub-contractor can walk away from that event but would need to notify Great Rate DJs immediately.
Sub-contractor may not personally book any event for Great Rate DJ's unless otherwise agreed upon. Sub-contractor must inform client to contact Great Rate DJ's if they would like to hire sub-contractor. If client finds and contacts sub-contractor on their own as a referral from another source, sub-contractor may no longer personally book that event directly and will be required to redirect that client back to Great Rate DJs. If it is found that sub-contractor bypassed Great Rate DJs and booked an event directly, Great Rate DJs will take sub-contractor off of any future events and cease to work with sub-contractor. Great Rate DJs reserves the right to seek legal action for full reimbursement of amount sub-contractor charged the client and for any additional monetary damages. If it can be proven that the same potential client contacted the sub-contractor before contacting Great Rate DJs then sub-contractor is no longer legally obligated to book event through Great Rate DJs.
Above-mentioned sub-contractor must adhere to the following Great Rate DJ's policies:
· Show up on or before agreed contracted time to begin set up.
· Start music/performance at contractually agreed upon time.
· All equipment will function properly.
· All equipment will be presented in a clean and professional manner.
· All equipment promised to each client will be present and available at event location.
· DJ(s) will be dressed appropriately.
· DJ(s) will have all music promised to each client and ensure clean lyrical content.
· DJ(s) will call their client within 24 hours of accepting an event to introduce them-self and to provide the client with their contact info.
· DJ(s) will call to confirm and finalize each show at least one week prior to every event.
· If required, DJ(s) will act as Emcee by following through with all time lines and agenda's created. This also means coordinating with all other vendors, such as but not limited to the venue, photographer and caterer.
· DJ(s) will not become intoxicated at any events.
· DJ(s) will not "pick-up" dates at events.
· Comply with all local, state and federal laws.
If any of the items listed above are not met and a client has valid cause that can be verified to ask for some or all of their money back, it will between that client and sub-contractor to come to a mutually agreeable resolution. If either party can negotiate no agreeable resolution, Great Rate DJs cannot be held liable. If full payment was made to Great Rate DJs prior to an event that requests a refund, Great Rate DJs may deduct up to the full amount of that refund from sub-contractors pay. If sub-contractor has already been paid, sub-contractor could be asked to refund that portion directly to the client or to Great Rate DJs. Refund amounts vary based on each occurrence and their variables. If a client makes their first attempt for a refund 3 weeks after their event, sub-contractor will no longer be liable to offer a refund. Great Rate DJs can terminate this agreement if the "quality of service" provided by sub-contractor does not meet a minimum standard plus sub-contractor could loose all future events, even if previously agreed upon. Sub-contractor also is under no obligation to accept work from Great Rate DJs and can terminate this agreement at any time provided sub-contractor does not cancel events already agreed upon within 90 days of notice. If Great Rate DJs has collected more than our commission to be paid to sub-contractor, but sub-contractor cancels on agreed upon events (even after termination of this agreement), sub-contractor would not receive payment from Great Rate DJs. If advance payment for an event or events was made by Great Rate DJs to sub-contractor but sub-contractor cancels the agreed upon event(s), sub-contractor must return 100% of the money from those events to Great Rate DJs, including any late fee's. If sub-contractor accepts an event and cancels or does not show up, sub-contractor can be held liable to fully reimburse the client and Great Rate DJs for lost income unless for a verifiable traumatic emergency preventing the sub-contractor from physically performing.
Great Rate DJs will provide the following:
1. Confirmed bookings including client contact information and pay rate.
2. Leads to place bids on.
3. Potential clients to meet for increased booking potential.
4. Use of our on-line events calendar at www.ewebmin.com
5. Use of our on-line planning tools at www.greatratedjs.com
6. Pay sub-contractor when needed. *See payment terms and conditions
*Payment Terms and Conditions:
In most cases each client will pay sub-contractor directly upon arrival at every event. If not and Great Rate DJs has collected the sub-contractors portion and/or has made other arrangements with the client, Great Rate DJs will submit for payment the following week after each event if purchaser has prepaid the subcontractors fee in full or as soon as the subcontractor fee has been collected by Great Rate DJs. If any refund needs to be issued for a verifiable claim made by a client that sub-contractor performed for, it will be the responsibility for the sub-contractor to come to a mutually agreeable resolution with that client and Super Entertainment, INC. plus all of it subsidiaries including Great Rate DJs will be released from any performance claim. If client decides to take legal action against Super Entertainment, INC. or any of its subsidiaries due to, but not limited to the failure of sub-contractor resolving the matter, Super Entertainment, INC. reserves the right to take legal action again sub-contractor. If such a situation should arise, it will be the responsibility for sub-contractor to pay for any and all legal fees and other associated expenses that may have occurred due to each specific claim. Accounting & Payroll Fee
WHAT IS IT?
An "Accounting & Payroll Fee" is required when more than the reservation payment is made or in cases when using a purchase order. One of the many ways Great Rate DJs has kept our pricing low is to reduce the amount of staff needed in accounting by requiring purchasers to pay DJs directly. This saves time and costs by avoiding payroll, the need to complete additional IRS forms, we pay less in taxes, and avoid higher merchant fees.
The Accounting & Payroll Fee is required when these cost cutting measures are no longer applicable. The charge of this fee will vary pending on each scenario but in most cases is 10% when paying more than the required deposit prior to an event or $100 if using a purchase order.

PACKAGE FAQs:
Q: What’s the primary difference?
A: Experience level, when the DJ is assigned and the amount of equipment. Larger packages include more equipment and experience level. Click here to view available packages.
Q: Can I meet with DJ’s prior to booking?
A: Yes, only with the Professional Package. All other packages the DJ is assigned one month prior to each event. However, our support team is always available to answer all your questions!
Q: If I choose a package where the DJ is assigned one month prior to my event, will I know who my DJ is?
A: Yes! You will receive an email from us with your DJ’s name and contact information once assigned.
Q: How is a DJ chosen for my event?
A: DJ's are chosen based on availability, package selected, and qualifications matching the event criteria.
Q: Is there backup equipment?
A: All DJ’s provide their own equipment. Generally, Starter package DJ’s do not while most Professional package DJ’s do. This is another one of many reasons why professional DJ’s generally cost more than Starter DJ’s. Make sure to ask for a Professional Package DJ with back-up equipment if needed.
Q: Is there a back-up DJ?
A: Generally Starter package DJ’s do not while some Professional package DJ’s do. Great Rate DJs is able to assign a back-up DJ (pending availability) in most cases to any package for peace of mind. Inquire for details.
Q: Does the DJ have liability insurance?
A: Generally not with the exception of most Professional package DJs. Special day-of insurance plans are available. Inquire for details.
DJ BIDDING FAQs:
Q: Will my information be kept private?
A: You bet! DJ’s never gain access to your contact information until you request to speak with them.
Q: How will I know if a DJ has back-up equipment?
A: It will say so on his or her profile.
Q: How will I know if a performer has a back-up DJ?
A: It will say so on his or her profile.
Q: How will I know if the DJ has liability insurance?
A: It will say so on his or her profile. Special day-of insurance plans are available for DJ’s that are not liability insured. Inquire for details.
GENERAL FAQs:
Q: How do I book?
A: Contact Great Rate DJs to receive a contract. In most cases, a signed contract and deposit are required within 5 days to guarantee services.
Q: How much is the deposit?
A: It depends on the services you need. Generally $95 and up.
Q: Is the deposit applied towards the total?
A: Yes!
Q: Is my deposit refundable?
A: Yes if your DJ cancels, otherwise no.
Q: Can my deposit be applied to a future event?
A: Yes, in most cases up to one year from the original event date.
Q: When is the balance due?
A: The balance is due directly to your DJ upon arrival in cash prior to setup or one week prior to your event if paying with a check.
Q: Is it possible my DJ won’t show?
A: It’s very unlikely but unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, illness, vehicle failure, or other uncontrollable situations are always a possibility regardless of who you hire. In such circumstances, your deposit will be refunded. One of the questions we ask all DJs who list their service is if they have a backup DJ. This information can be found under the Reassurances section on each DJs profile.
If for some reason a DJ is unable to make it, you always can call us and we’ll be glad to see if anyone else would be available free of charge. If you would feel more confident having a 2nd DJ keep his or her calendar clear just in case, you may have the option to book a 2nd DJ at 50% off. This option is only available if booking one of our hosted packages.
If you used the DJ Bid Form to pick and choose your DJ, remember to always check the Reassurances section to learn which DJs have a back-up. If for some reason the DJ you hired is unable to make it we’ll gladly resubmit your bid request to other DJs in your area. If any are available you’ll receive their personalized quote and a link to their profile.
Q: Do I need liability insurance?
A: In some circumstances, yes. We recommend you contact the venue where your event is being held and ask. As each DJ is an independent performer, some provide this and others don't. One of the questions we ask all DJs who list their service is if they have a certificate of liability. This information can be found under the Reassurances section on each DJs profile. If you used the DJ Bid Form to pick and choose your DJ, remember to always check the Reassurances section to learn which DJs carry insurance. Otherwise, the only package that can include a DJ with liability insurance is the Professional package. Make sure to specify liability insurance is needed.
Q: What's your cancellation policy?
A: Deposits are non-refundable or still required if not already paid when an event is canceled plus 50% of the remaining balance will be owed to the DJ by no later than the event date as compensation for turning away other business for the same date. If the purchaser does not pay 50% of the balance to the DJ in full by then, the DJ can charge a 5% late fee each month based on the balance not paid. If the purchaser does not pay this balance to the DJ within 90 days the DJ reserves the right to seek legal action and can charge 100% of the remaining balance including late fees and all associated legal costs. If DJ collected payment prior to engagement but was not able to provide services for an unforeseen reason Great Rate DJs will refund 100% of the collected deposit but can not be held liable for the portion paid to the DJ. If the purchaser changes the scope of an event after booking and the DJ is not able to provide the additional services, the purchaser will be required to pay the cancellation fee. If the DJ arrives at an event that was canceled but the purchaser did not inform the DJ or Great Rate DJs of the cancellation, the purchaser will still be responsible for full payment of the contracted services.
Q: Are Great Rate DJ's performers pre-qualified?
A: Yes! All DJs must meet the minimum requirements before we work with them. These items include, but are not limited to providing a headshot, providing full name, full address, valid phone number, valid email address, when they were born, how long they have been performing, how many events on average a year they perform, the type of equipment they use, the amount of equipment they have, the type of music included in their library, the type of events they service, what attire they wear, if they are liability insured, if they have backup equipment, back up DJ's and more.
Q: Why do DJ prices vary?
A: It mostly comes down to the scope and type of event you are having, how popular your date is, how much overhead they have, and if this is a hobby, part-time job, or full-time career for the DJ. Like cars, there are many makes and models of both event types and DJs. Events such as weddings tend to be more elaborate as they require more time to prep and at times setups can also become complicated requiring someone with the proper equipment configuration and technical know-how. Other events such as pool parties are much easier and generally require small, basic setups with minimal prep time.
Hobbyist DJs generally have the lowest overhead with minimal equipment. Part-time DJs generally have more music and equipment as well as experience. Career DJs generally have the most experience, technical prowess, the most comprehensive equipment inventory including backup equipment that doubles the investment cost and liability insurance. Some even have brick and mortar stores and/or a fleet of vehicles.

Performance Finance Fee
WHAT IS IT?
A "Performance Finance Fee" is an option that can be added-on to any DJ service for when more than a deposit amount needs to be paid or in cases when using a purchase order. One of the many ways Great Rate DJs has kept our pricing low is to reduce the amount of people needed in the accounting department by requiring purchasers to pay balances directly to their DJ. This saves us time and money as we pay less taxes, we do not need to setup up payroll and we're spending less time completing complicated IRS tax forms.
The Performance Finance Fee is required when these cost cutting measures are no longer applicable. The charge of this fee will vary pending on each scenario but in most cases is 10% when paying more than the required deposit prior to an event or $100 if using a purchase order.
