Hey it’s Erik w/Great Rate DJs. Hopefully, you’ve been well and are still DJing! I received a call from a lady who is looking to put together a reunion for her friends that she hasn’t seen in a while. They are all senior gay women around 65. She is on social security and said she can only pay $200 and wondered what she could get with that, if anything at all. I told her that would be tough but I would check around for her anyway. Her date is 5/28/22 in Las Vegas at a private residence, backyard, cover and power is available. No stairs or hill to navigate. Do not need lights. Expecting about 35 people. She is interested in DJ and/or Karaoke. Please let me know if you would be interested. You also may hit me up with a counter offer that I could present to her if you are open but can’t make her “ideal” budget work. Thanks, let me know if you have any questions.

Come on man, you should know better than that to send any professional DJ some bullshit like this. Sounds like she doesn’t need to have a DJ with that budget my friend. I have zero interest. Only contact me with events with a professional budget!
Thanks,
Klassick

Wow, I gotta laugh at your email coming from a "professional" DJ yet acting unprofessional in your reply. A professional would simply not reply, or reply with a respectful message. If you're not interested, that's fine. You know, or maybe have forgotten that we work with DJ's of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced. This could be an opportunity that one of those beginner DJ's may be interested in. Thankfully, unlike other services that charge monthly, semi-annual, annual, or pay per lead fees, this cost you absolutely nothing.
As I mentioned in my email, I explained to her that her budget was low, especially for a Saturday, even for starter DJs. Would you have treated her the same way you are treating me if she contacted you directly? As a professional DJ, I would certainly hope not. Why then would you feel you could treat me differently?
Until now, you and I have always had a respectful relationship. I don't know what changed but I always expect to keep relationships with people I deal with both professionally and on a personal basis friendly and respectful.
If this doesn't sound reasonable I would like to thank you for our previous working relationship and wish you the best in all your future endeavors.
Erik

You've got to laugh? Noooo man, I'm falling out hysterically over here!!! A professional, which I am, would do exactly what I did and check, I repeat...check a person who disrespects them with a bullshit $200 event when I charge $1,500 just for a party, $2,000 for a wedding, and $1,000 for Karaoke. Why would I ignore you? I would rather educate you, I'm not going to run away from your email or you Erik. Do you really think you can tell a DJ and a man of my calibur how to act as a business Owner and Pro DJ? I highly suggest that you take that shit on somewhere else Erik. You handle business your way and I handle business my way. If you don't like the way I do business, do not business with me...it's that fucking simple. However, you are not going to tell
Please don't sell me on that scammy bullshit that you're doing "me" a favor because I'm not paying for leads, etc. as you mentioned hahaha! Leave that for the newbies Erik, I'm a fully seasoned DJ and have a full team of my own. You get paid $100 or more per booking right? So how in the hell is it costing me nothing? You basically take $100 or more out of the DJs pocket. The pay-per-lead sites are actually cheaper than taking one of your bookings. In addition, you actually get a deposit of full payment from those sites as well. I'm actually doing you a favor by taking a gig from you, remember that! Your operation worked years ago, but it is now outdated...null & void. The Bash, GigSalad, Eventective, etc. are the future...they get DJs paid and paid BIG!!!
I didn't even know I was still listed on your website, I thought my Office Manager asked that we be removed from your roster sometime around the end of 2020 or the start of 2021. Your clientele, unfortunately, cannot afford my services. So I'd like to officially ask that you remove me from your roster in its entirety and do not contact me again.
And yes, if that client contacted me, I would tell her to buy a bluetooth speaker and have the best fucking backyard party she can because that the worth of her $200!!!
Cheers,
